Sizing & Pricing

Intro

A quilt made from the shirts and meaningful materials you hold onto is more than a blanket. It is a keepsake you will use, reach for, and cherish. Because I cut around graphics and logos rather than using blank t-shirt fabric to fill space, these quilts tend to need more shirts than standard memory quilts. That is intentional, and it helps your quilt feel full of what matters.

Below you will find size options, shirt guidance, and pricing to help you choose what feels right for your memories.

Choosing Your Quilt Size

Keepsake Quilt

A small but meaningful preservation. Perfect for a handful of pieces you simply cannot part with. Ideal for baby clothes, first milestones, or a focused collection that deserves to be seen and remembered.

Comparable to a generous lap quilt or memory display piece.

Comfort Throw Quilt

Designed to hold a season. This size allows room for growth without feeling oversized. It drapes beautifully over a sofa or the end of a bed and captures a chapter with intention and clarity.

Comparable to a large throw or youth bed quilt.

Story Quilt

A balanced heirloom that begins to feel complete. This size comfortably preserves multiple stages and gives breathing room to the garments that matter most. Substantial enough for everyday use, meaningful enough to become permanent.

Comparable to a Twin size quilt.

Heritage Full Quilt

A strong, grounded heirloom. This quilt fills a bed with memory and presence without overwhelming the space. It allows for a fuller collection while still feeling intentional and refined.

Comparable to a generous Twin or slim Full coverage.

Heirloom Full Quilt

For when the story is too important to edit. This size creates a full bed presence and allows space for the pieces you cannot leave out. It feels complete, generous, and deeply personal.

Comparable to a traditional Full or Full/Queen crossover.

Grand Heirloom Quilt

The full journey preserved in fabric. This is a statement piece, designed to honor years of milestones in one cohesive heirloom. It becomes a focal point in a room and a legacy piece in a family.

Comparable to an oversized Full or generous Queen.

Why Shirt Count Matters...

Because my quilts preserve the areas of the shirts or materials you care about instead of filling space with blank t-shirt fabric, I often need more items than other makers who use fixed squares or fillers. If you want a larger size than you have items for, I can use coordinating decorative fabrics to fill in space needed. This can add a little charm and even more character to your quilt.

This approach helps your quilt stay meaningful and rich in story. If you are unsure how many shirts to send, include extras so I have the best selection when designing your quilt.

You are welcome to send more shirts than the minimum shirt count if you have them. Extra options help me balance the layout, keep meaningful graphics visible, and make design decisions without relying on filler fabric.

The shirt counts are guidelines, not guarantees. Final usage and finished dimensions can vary slightly based on shirt sizes, graphics, and how the layout balances once everything arrives.

Please send shirts clean and uncut.

Deposit and Payment Structure

The $100 deposit reserves your spot on my quilt calendar and is applied toward your total. After the deposit, I will send you the shipping address and a short info form.

Once your items arrive, I begin my creative process for placement and design and will send you a photo for approval. When your quilt is finished, I will send the final photo and the remaining balance invoice. After the balance is paid, I ship your quilt insured with tracking.

Backing Included and Specialty Backing Options

Each quilt is machine quilted with batting and includes a coordinating cotton sheet backing at no additional cost. If you prefer a different material such as fleece or minky, that is available for an additional charge. Specialty backing is invoiced based on material cost.

Helpful Notes

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Once your shirts are received, turnaround time begins.
  • The deposit is not refundable and holds your place on my calendar.
  • Final payment is due before shipping.
  • Any unused shirts can be returned to you upon request.
